I am Senior Researcher at the GESIS-Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Mannheim Germany and Project Manager of the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES) project.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow having completed my Ph.D. in political science at the School of Politics and International Relations at University College Dublin, Ireland.  I have also been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Montreal, the Department of Political Science, Stanford University, and the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra. 

My research, described in more detail here and my publications primarily focuses on comparative electoral behavior and social media’s impact on politics.
